Greetings from Arizona,
I am connecting with you again to learn how you have been experiencing negotiation in real practice.
Since retiring from teaching, I’ve found myself reflecting on so many chapters of my life: the winding path to finishing my degree, managing a scuba resort in Honduras, and one especially powerful memory — the day I didn’t speak up for my team, and the powerlessness I felt in that silence.
That moment changed everything. It set me on a journey I’m still on today: learning what power really is.
For a long time, I thought it meant control. “Power over.” Hardball tactics. Winning at any cost. But over the years and connections with each other, I’ve come to believe in something much richer: power with. The kind of power that’s built through trust, collaboration, and shared purpose.
Now, I want to invite you to join me in exploring this more deeply.
I’ve started the Social Intelligence Lab — a space for reconnecting, reflecting, and growing our real-world skills in collaborative negotiation. Together, we’ll practice “power with” through exercises, shared stories, and Applied Improv for Quantum Negotiation.
This is for anyone who’s ever asked themselves:
- How do I find (or reclaim) my voice?
- How do I advocate for myself and others with integrity?
- How do I create impact without compromising who I am?
If those questions resonate with you, or if you’re simply curious to explore again, I’d love to reconnect. Let’s co-create something meaningful, grounded in everything we’ve already learned and everything we’re still becoming.
I have partnered with the Competency Development Center to host my community. Please feel free to join me by clicking here
